We also get asked......Why don't you serve a Dinner Buffet?
Here's why we don't.....
Buffets can be dirty and discussting!
Yes, we have a Breakfast Buffet on Saturday mornings. I don't really care for it. It is too much work to keep fresh serving-tongs and dishing-spoons clean and sterile for the 4 hours we operate the buffet! (especially this time of the year)
Let alone, trying to keep the food fresh!
The only reason we still have the buffet is because of our regular and local folks that have come to enjoy it over the years. The Breakfast Buffet was started years ago by a previous owner and has always been popular! And if I quit it now, I will never hear the end of the "flack" and "tongue-lashings" that I will receive!!
Here's some things to remember about buffets:
1. You will NEVER - EVER get the "freshest" food at a Buffet! And it will still cost you $12-$15 dollars a plate!!!
2. You will Never know what other foods might be mixed in that item that you are "dishing-on" your plate!
3. Nor, will you know how old that item is, that "fell" in the other item?
4. Think about that person who just came out of the restroom, and might not have washed their hands, thoroughly? ....Then jumped in line. Or the person (waiting in line) who just unknowingly "itched" their eye or nose, and has had a cold for a week?
Will Miller's ever have a Dinner Buffet?
I just can't ever foresee it.
Enough ramblin' about the Bad stuff! Let's talk about the Good!!
We will soon offer a 2nd Prime Rib!
It comes to us from Gary (the Meat Man) Collins from Coshocton. It will be a 16-ounce piece of the BEST Prime Rib, that you will ever eat!! His Prime Rib, is even better than ours!! It has a lil' more seasoning in it.
The bad part is, it will cost more! But not that much more!
As most of you know, we recently changed our menu. Our menu now focuses on reduced-price dinners with 2 side dishes.
I've been wanting to do this for some time now. I really couldn't compare our prices to other restaurants in the surrounding areas because we always offered 3 side dishes, to every meal.
The "Industry-Standard" offering is 2 side dishes to a dinner.
Well now, I can! And I am proud to say that, WE beat ALL of the Amish Restaurants (and all "other-type" restaurants) around our surrounding 3-county area! Some of the Amish restaurants, we beat by $2 and $3 a plate!!! That's Bad!!
Now for our customers who like our 3-side dish offering, we still offer that 3rd side for just a dollar! That puts the price right back where it use to be (and in some cases, a lil' less than what it use to be)!! Promise!!
